CYSUM started from humble beginnings: the founder, Xiao, launched the brand in the early 2000s working out of a small bicycle workshop, drawing on years of cycling-industry know-how. Over time, what began as a narrow local operation has grown into a fully fledged e-bike company with a scaled factory, exporting worldwide. The CYSUM Speedy is a commuter-focused e-bike designed for versatility, comfort, and urban mobility. Equipped with a 500W hub motor producing 75 Nm of torque, the Speedy ensures confident starts, efficient cruising, and stable support on hills and city roads.
Its 48V 14Ah lithium-ion battery (≈672 Wh) is fully removable and hidden within the aluminium frame for a seamless look and secure performance. Depending on terrain, rider weight, and assist level, the Speedy offers a range of 70–100 km on pedal assist, making it suitable for extended commuting or daily errands without frequent charging.
The step-through commuter geometry makes mounting and dismounting easy, especially with cargo on the included rear rack and front basket. Comfort is enhanced by 27.5″ Continental pneumatic tires paired with a front suspension fork (~80 mm travel) that smooths out uneven paths.
The drivetrain is managed by a Shimano 7-speed derailleur system, supported by a smart LED display that shows speed, battery, assist mode, and trip distance. For safety, mechanical disc brakes on both wheels provide responsive stopping, complemented by an integrated rear light for visibility.
