ENGWE was officially founded in 2014, inspired by a single memorable ride. Three mountain-bike enthusiasts planned to ride 38 miles in 5 hours through mountainous terrain, but ended up struggling on shaded uphill paths, cold, tired, and eventually pushing their bikes for the final 16 miles. From that harsh experience came the spark of innovation. They entered a university innovation competition with a concept for an electric bike, won recognition, worked on R&D over the next years—and that’s how ENGWE became the brand known for offering e-bikes that combine range, usability, and accessible price.

Its 48 V 16 Ah (768 Wh)removable battery and 250 W rear hub motor with 70 Nm torque make it equally suited for city streets and rural tracks, while keeping within the EU legal speed limit of 25 km/h (15.5 mph). The Shimano 7-speed transmission ensures smooth shifting, and the 26×4.0-inch tires provide stability and control across gravel, snow, or sand.
Comfort is built into every ride with a front suspension fork and rear seat suspension, plus a wide cushioned saddle for longer journeys. 160 mm disc brakes deliver safe stopping in all weather conditions, and the removable battery allows convenient charging indoors. With ranges up to 140 km (87 mi) on pedal assist, the ENGWE E26 is a versatile companion for both commuters and weekend explorers.
